Scholarships

The Construction Pathways Program offers a comprehensive training and development platform for Victorian Priority jobseekers, particularly youth aged 17-24 from low socioeconomic backgrounds in Geelong’s north and east. The program includes accredited training in CPC20220 Certificate II in Construction Pathways, along with intensive mentoring and wrap-around support to ensure participants are well-prepared for employment or apprenticeships within the construction sector.

We have three scheduled intakes for 2024, with program dates as follows:

• Intake #1: 15 July - 29 August
• Intake #2: 16 September - 14 November
• Intake #3: Dates TBC beginning of 2025

Each intake culminates in a graduation ceremony where participants' achievements are celebrated. The dates for the graduations are 29 August and 14 November, with the third ceremony to be confirmed.

A crucial component of the program is industry exposure and support to provide site visits, industry connections, and exposure to various skilled trades. We aim to conduct four site visits per cycle, allowing participants to gain firsthand insights into the construction environment.

Your support will have a profound impact on the lives of these young individuals, helping to shape the future workforce of our industry and make a substantial difference to the local community’s economic future. We are confident that this partnership will not only benefit the participants but also contribute to the growth and sustainability of the construction sector.

• Host Site Visits: We are looking for head contractors who can host our participants for industry/site tours. This will not only provide valuable real-world experience but also encourage participants to explore different career paths within the construction industry.
• Mobilise Subcontractors: We would greatly appreciate your assistance in mobilising your network of subcontractors to engage with our cohorts, offering them exposure to diverse trades and potentially opening doors for future employment.
• Guest Speakers for Graduations: The graduation ceremonies are a significant milestone for our participants. Many of them have never had their achievements formally recognised and celebrated. We invite a representative from your organisation to be a guest speaker at these events, sharing insights and inspiring our graduates as they embark on their new career paths.
