We’re thrilled to share the remarkable journey of Erica Clague, who has transitioned from a career in administration to pioneering new pathways in the construction industry.
As the recipient of the 2024 Building and Construction Foundation Scholarship through our partnership with the Holmesglen Foundation Hardship and Wellbeing Program Erica recently completed her Certificate IV in Building and Construction at Holmesglen Institute.
As a mother of two, Erica sought to diversify her knowledge and balance paid work with parenthood. Inspired by her family of architects, draftsmen, and engineers, Erica decided to change career paths and move into the Building and Construction sector.
Thanks to our scholarship and Holmesglen’s supportive environment, Erica feels that neither age nor gender is a barrier within her course and values the inclusive environment that has made her feel welcome. She embodies the values of our Foundation with her unwavering commitment, enthusiasm, and warm, inclusive nature supporting others in pursuing a career in this field.
